Dr. Ava Chung
Dr. Ava Chung combines academic excellence, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to children’s health in her work as a board-certified children's dentist. She completed her DDS at UCSF, followed by a Master of Science in Dentistry and pediatric dentistry residency at Loma Linda University, where she also earned a second master’s degree in physical chemistry. Since 2015, she has practiced in a range of private pediatric dental settings while also serving as a clinical instructor at Loma Linda’s School of Dentistry, mentoring students in pediatric care.
With extensive training and nearly a decade of hands-on experience, Dr. Chung provides comprehensive pediatric dental services, from preventive care to sedation dentistry, and specializes in treating children with a compassionate, individualized approach. She maintains active membership in both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, staying at the forefront of developments in her field through continued learning and research contributions. Her patients and peers appreciate her calm demeanor, meticulous work, and ability to build trust with families from all backgrounds.
Dr. Chung is fluent in Mandarin and has long been engaged in community outreach, volunteering both locally and abroad to provide care and oral health education to underserved populations. Her dedication to pediatric dentistry extends beyond the clinic, grounded in a passion for education, equity, and excellence in care.
